Radio Frequency Body Contouring & Cellulite Treatment 45 Minute Symmetrical Area $95

Radio frequency body contouring is officially the new beauty buzz - and with good reason. Firming, tightening, plumping and refreshing, radio frequency helps skin to look more youthful, peachy, and let's face it - more beautiful. No wonder it's the perfect treatment to try pre-holiday to help with that all important bikini-body confidence. We put it to the test to find out more...
What is the treatment like?
The treatment itself is surprisingly relaxing. Each area on your body is treated for 20-40 minutes. All that's required is to show your therapist your problem areas and lie back on the treatment bed and wait for the treatment to begin.

The therapist will apply a jelly lubricant to your skin to act as a protective barrier between you and the electrode rod which can get warm. Then it the electrode rod is rubbed over your skin, focusing on areas that need extra attention. The technique is so relaxing that actually it's easy to fall fast asleep. Radio frequency body contouring (also known as skin tightening) is becoming popular as it promises to tighten the skin and improve tone, without any pain or downtime at all. It's a pretty effective treatment as it can also help reduce flabby skin, tighten bingo wings, contour and tighten a post pregnancy tummy, reduce fine lines and wrinkles (on the face and body), reduce saddle bags and even lift and tighten.

How does it work?
Essentially radio frequency treatments deliver an electrical current via electrodes to the skin, in order to heat the deeper and more superficial layers. When our skin receives a high frequency electrical current the cells in our bodies interpret this as an energy source, and the layers in our skin act like a resistor to the electrical current and depending on their level of resistance, will heat up to varying degrees. It is the process of heating that helps to tighten and rejuvenate skin, smoothing its appearance and reducing localised pockets of fat.

So how will it contour and tighten my skin?
As our skin matures, the collagen and elastin proteins which help support a tight skin structure, start to break down. And as skin loses elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles and a dull or saggy appearance. The radio frequency energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue where the collagen fibres are embedded. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of the collagen fibres, and fat cells drain then shrink, while those all important fibroblast cells (part of our connective tissue) are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastic fibres. The effect of this is tighter, smoother, younger looking skin with a visible 'lift' . Fat cells are reduced and stubborn cellulite looks a lot less noticeable.

Are there any side effects?
Normally there are no side effects from the treatment, but some people might find the treatment area is a little red post treatment but this usually resolves after 30 mins - 24 hours post treatment. Rarely swelling or bruising may occur, but these effects usually settle within a few days.

How much does it cost?
Radio frequency is only $95 per area of the body (for a 45 minute treatment) and with results as remarkable as you'd hope - it's money well-spent. A perfect New Year treatment for ultimate body confidence!

No Needle Mesotherapy Fat Burning 30 Minute Symmetrical Area $99

Electroporation uses short modulated pulses of a low current to create transient aqueous pores in the skin. This application of an electrical pulse momentarily disrupts the cell membrane, allowing the entry of product. When the pulse ceases, the membrane returns to its original structure, leaving product that has been penetrated into the interior of the cell in place! The effect of the electroporation lasts for a few seconds, therefore allowing the introduction of product. This dramatically increases skin permeability. In lay mans language...electroporation is opening a door that allows us to insert products deeper into the skin.
This process also stimulates your skin to enable muscle toning, draining of liquids from intercellular space (helps with puffiness), and the production of new collagen and elastin.
Usually 2 to 6 treatments are required at intervals of once a week. Depending on the problem area, the number of procedures could increase. Because mesotherapy treatments for weight loss do not produce drastic changes, it is generally recommended for patients who require a little fat reduction in specific areas, as with body contouring.

Advantages of electroporation
No pain or injection tracks
No risk of burns, pain or inflammation.
Controlled depth of the substance injection without affecting the vessels or the products transfer into the bloodstream
entration of the injected substance is above 90%
Indications for the procedures

When should Electroporation NOT be used?
If you are using a pacemaker.
If you have a muscular or nervous disease
If you suffer from epilepsy
If you are pregnant or breast feeding a baby
If you are suffering from cancer, malignant tumors, etc.
If you have orthopedic implants (such as knee or hip replacements)
If you have anxiety

How often can this treatment be performed?
This treatment can be done once a week for a maximum of 6 weeks before requiring a 2 week rest period before continuing if required.

Is Electroporation painful?
The strength of the equipment can be adjusted and therefore tuned to the pain tolerance of the client. Treatment is therefore nearly pain free.

What active substances are being transferred?
L-Carnitine for fat burning

What is the advantage of Electroporation as compared to most other methods?
Most transfer methods will penetrate only up to 10% of active substances into the skin. Using electroporation up to 90% of substances are transferred into the skin. Compared to mesotherapy with needles there will be no bruising or reddening of the skin using Electroporation.
